We are leaving today (I should be packing now) it took us a little longer than expected to get out of here because we got to take a unplaned but tottaly fun trip to Oakland with our friend Robb so he could buy a Vanagon up there that he liked.

We took the hwy 1 home... well sort of. Lets just say when they put up a "road closed in 60 miles" sgin don't expect any detour signs ahead I guess your just supposed to know how to go aroung the closure. So 60 miles later we turned around and took a super curvy and kind of scacry un-marked detour that another vanagon driver was smart enough to ask a ranger about in Big Sur and ended up only going like 45 miles out of our way. oh well.... c'est la vie
